This was one of my favorite birthday cakes growing up. My Mom made it for me recently and it tasted as yummy as it did back in the 70’s. My kids and their friends loved it too!!
· 1 box white cake mix
· 1 -6 oz. box of
strawberry Jell-O
· 1 package 3 oz. Instant
Vanilla Pudding Mix
· 1 cup cold milk
· ¼ cup powdered sugar
· 1 tub (8 oz.) cool whip
Bake
the cake mix according to the directions on the box in a 9x13 pan. Let cool an
hour. Then poke it with a fork all over-the kids love to help with this part!
Make the Jell-O using half the recommended water listed for standard
preparation. Pour the Jell-O over the cake filling all the holes. Refrigerate to
let the Jell-O set. In a large bowl mix
the vanilla pudding, sugar, and milk all together. Stir in cool whip. Frost the
Jell-O cake and serve.
